The CRDB Bank Foundation and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) have joined forces to help women and youth entrepreneurs take advantage of opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
A 5-year agreement has been formally signed, solidifying our commitment to collaborate on initiatives aimed at empowering youth and women, financing sustainable projects, implementing joint programs, and providing specialized expertise and technical support.
During the next five years, the CRDB Bank Foundation will focus on educating and training small and medium businesses run by women and youth.
The aim is to equip them with the necessary skills to navigate international markets and make the most of AfCFTA opportunities.
The official signing ceremony took place at the CRDB Bank headquarters in Dar es Salaam, with Tully Esther Mwambapa, the Managing Director of the CRDB Bank Foundation, and Shigeki Komatsubara, the Resident Representative of UNDP in the country, putting pen to paper.
